Cancellations & Refunds
All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made by Monday, August 17, 2026. No refunds will be granted after Monday, August 17, 2026. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.
Code of Conduct
ACA is honored to provide a safe environment for the counselor community to come together to connect, engage, and learn. ACA is committed to providing an environment that encourages the free expression and exchange of professional information and promotes equal opportunities and respectful treatment for all participants.
Hill Day Attire
Professional attire is recommended. Professional clothing includes business or business-casual attire appropriate for meetings with congressional offices and policymakers. Please refrain from wearing offensive, inflammatory, excessively revealing, or otherwise unprofessional clothing, including attire containing inappropriate language or imagery, during the Hill Day event.
Accessibility
Please note the Hill Day event typically involves a significant amount of walking.
From the shuttle drop-off location there is a 5-10 minute uphill walk to reach the Capitol steps. There is also a fair amount of walking between meetings, even if meetings occur in the same office building.

Whenever possible, we will provide participants with the option to take a cab or rideshare to reduce walking. If you have any concerns about this, please indicate in your registration and feel free to reach out to us at events@counseling.org, and we will work with you to address them. We are committed to making this event accessible for everyone!
ACA makes every effort to ensure that all activities are accessible to persons with disabilities. All hotels are ADA compliant. We will make every effort to provide a variety of food selections at events in recognition of those with dietary restrictions. Registration and attendance at, or participation in, the American Counseling Association (ACA) conferences, meetings, and events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to ACA for use and distribution, now and in the future, of the registrant or attendees’ image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audio of such events and activities to illustrate and promote the ACA experience and products.
